Property & Garden Maintenance Operative – Brinsop Court

Brinsop Court Estate, Herefordshire

Brinsop Court is a historic, award‑winning estate set within stunning gardens, courtyards, and woodland. We are seeking a dedicated Property & Garden Maintenance Operative to help preserve the beauty, safety, and smooth running of our property throughout the year.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on, varied position suited to someone who takes pride in high‑quality upkeep across both buildings and outdoor spaces. It is a physical role involving regular outdoor work, manual handling, practical tasks across the estate, and duties that require working at heights. You will play a key part in maintaining the estate’s presentation for weddings, events, and day‑to‑day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily upkeep of gardens, courtyards, lawns, pathways, and ornamental areas
  • Routine property maintenance including repairs, checks, and general caretaking
  • Monitoring and maintaining woodland areas and outdoor features
  • Supporting event setup with practical tasks such as furniture movement and outdoor preparation
  • Ensuring all areas remain safe, tidy, and welcoming for guests and staff
  • Seasonal tasks including leaf clearance, snow/ice management, planting, pruning, and waste handling
  • Reporting issues promptly and working proactively to resolve them
