Applicant specification

We are looking for a qualified to level 2 & experienced individual. The right candidate should have at least 2 years experience working in the horticultural industry and must be reliable, flexible and possess a good work ethic. The ability to work independently is a huge plus. A clean driving license and good plant knowledge is essential. Important horticultural skills can be learned but good manners and presentation are a pre-requisite.

Job role

· The areas covered are North London, specifically Muswell Hill, Crouch End, Hampstead, Highgate, Islington. The ideal candidate will live locally or within easy commute to Muswell Hill/ Crouch End.

· Typical working hours would be 08.00 to 16.30, although some working days maybe longer or shorter.

· Typical number of hours a week would be 42.5 hours per week (negotiable).

· Typical tasks involved in garden maintenance are lawn mowing, weeding, pruning, leaf clearance, planting etc. plus any other additional duties as may be reasonably required.

· The ideal candidate must be physically fit and able to carry out all garden tasks

· During the year the ideal candidate would carry out additional tasks, such as planting to plan, transplanting established plants, autumn lawn care, mulching, irrigation installations, fertilising, turf laying, soil cultivation etc.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a salary in the range of £26,000 to £29,000 dependent on experience. There is a probationary period of three months.
