Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Team Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a keen eye for detail. As a Landscape Team leader, you will be responsible for over seeing the various works and supervising your team. We would expect you to be experienced in all aspects of landscaping including hard landscaping, fencing, turfing and planting. This role requires both physical stamina and mechanical knowledge to operate various tools and equipment effectively along with good comunication skills as you will be required to liase with clients/site agents and also comunicate material requirements or operational issues back to the office.

Responsibilities

  • Perform landscape tasks including hard and soft landscaping.
  • Irrigate gardens and landscapes as required to ensure healthy plant growth.
  • Dig and prepare soil for planting, ensuring optimal conditions for new plants.
  • Utilise power tools and hand tools for various landscaping tasks such as planting, pruning, and building garden features.
  • Maintain equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and performing minor repairs to ensure longevity and efficiency.
  • Assist in the installation of new garden layouts or features as directed.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in landscaping.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools safely.
  • Physical fitness to perform manual labour tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions.
  • A valid driver’s licence may be required for transportation between job sites including towing a trailer.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to teach new skills related to landscaping techniques and maintenance practices
