Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to maintain and enhance the beauty of our outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a strong interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with practical experience in gardening techniques. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors, utilise a variety of tools, and contribute to creating inviting, well-kept environments. The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing planting schemes, maintaining lawns, and ensuring all garden areas are kept in pristine condition.

Responsibilities

  • Use hand tools and power tools to carry out planting, pruning, trimming, and general garden maintenance
  • Plant new flora, shrubs, trees, and organise seasonal displays
  • Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, fertilising.
  • Perform landscape maintenance tasks including weed control, mulching, and soil preparation
  • Monitor plant health and identify pests or diseases for appropriate treatment
  • Assist with the design and realisation of garden projects as required
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order and stored safely after use
  • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during gardening activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in gardening or horticulture; growing experience is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems effectively and safely
  • Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including lawn care, pruning, and planting techniques
  • Strong interest in gardening, horticulture or landscape design with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
  • A valid driver’s licence is essential
