Grounds Maintenance Operative
WWCS Environmental Services Ltd
Location: Dorset & South of England
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £28,500 – £30,000 per year
Start Date: ASAP or by 01/08/2025

About Us:
WWCS Environmental Services Ltd is a well-established and respected name in professional grounds maintenance, proudly serving the South of England for over 22 years. We work with a range of clients including schools, sports clubs, commercial properties, and industrial estates. Due to recent growth and new contracts, we are looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team.

Role Summary:
The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out high-quality grounds maintenance across multiple client sites. You will work both independently and as part of a team, using professional equipment to ensure outdoor environments are kept safe, tidy, and well-presented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General grounds care including mowing, edging, strimming, pruning, and hedge cutting
  • Operation of powered equipment and ride-on mowers
  • Application of herbicides and pesticides (if qualified)
  • Reporting any issues or hazards found on site
  • Ensuring tools and machinery are well maintained
  • Representing WWCS with professionalism on all client sites

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in grounds maintenance or commercial landscaping
  • Proficient with hand tools and petrol-driven machinery
  • Experience operating ride-on mowers and other horticultural equipment
  • PA1/PA6 or Lantra spraying certificate (preferred)
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and detail-focused
