Our continued growth means we are looking for a lawn care technician/operative who is enthusiastic, hard working and can work both individually and as a part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform lawn treatments, aerating, scarifying and other essential lawn care services.
• Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilisers according to company standards.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained and operating efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide professional recommendations.
• Identify and troubleshoot lawn problems, offering solutions to improve the health and appearance of the lawn.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude and provide exceptional customer service at all times.

Job Role
After an initial training period on our software and maintenance program, the role is to carry out pre-arranged service appointments on customers lawns.

Customer Service
Our service is based around providing high levels of customer service. Our customers are more than just a number in a database and our working day reflects this philosophy. We give you a manageable work load to enable you to build and maintain positive relationships with our customers.

Paperwork and Administration
Complete documentation and quotations accurately, particularly customer payments and application records. Confirm treatment dates with our customers.

Health & Safety
Ensure that all necessary Health & Safety requirements are fulfilled, in respect of customers, colleagues and yourself. Particularly in respect to COSHH, movement of goods and chemical handling, storage and spraying.

Working in Compliance with Legislation
Fully trained in the use and handling of chemicals (PA1 and PA6 training and qualification provided if necessary).

Sundry Tasks
Generating interest and leads with customers, including leaflet distribution. Customer quotations where applicable. Ensuring all equipment including vehicle are regularly cleaned and maintained in good working order.

Flexible Working Hours
The working week is five days. On average 7.5 hours per day (37.5hours per week). Where days are lost to inclement weather, they are made up with overtime.

Overtime and weekend work is available.

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior experience in lawn care or greenkeeping is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to operate and maintain lawn care equipment (training can be provided).
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for working outdoors.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A valid driver’s license (no more than 6 points for insurance purposes).
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 per year dependent on experience with additional £2000-£3000 of overtime work available per year during peak autumn and spring periods.
