Job Overview: Reporting directly to the Horticultural Manager, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Horticulturist to join our celebrated team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the maintenance and evolution of gardens and grounds, while also overseeing the development of a dedicated team of horticulture professionals.

Responsibilities:

· Provide leadership and guidance to a team of horticulture specialists and trainees, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently and to the highest standards.

· Collaborate closely with clients to discern their unique preferences and requirements, ensuring utmost satisfaction with our services.

· Conceptualize and implement innovative planting schemes that enhance the aesthetic appeal and ecological balance of our clients' spaces, and support other horticulturists and trainees to develop their ability to do the same.

· Offer mentorship and support to junior team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.

· Being a champion of the company’s initiatives and core business values

· Execute routine maintenance tasks with precision and care, including but not limited to lawn care, soft landscaping, and plant bed maintenance.

· Demonstrate proficiency in operating and maintaining various gardening equipment and machinery.

· Exercise vigilance in monitoring plant health, promptly identifying and addressing any pest or disease concerns.

· Uphold an unwavering commitment to quality and efficiency, ensuring all projects are completed within agreed-upon timelines.

Requirements:

· A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in horticulture, preferably in a leadership capacity.

· Possession of recognized qualifications in horticulture or related field is highly desirable.

· A comprehensive understanding of plant species, horticultural techniques, and pest management strategies.

· Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both clients and team members.

· Demonstrable experience designing/creating and installing well considered and successful planting schemes

· A natural inclination towards innovation and creativity in problem-solving.

· Meticulous attention to detail and a penchant for delivering work of the highest calibre.

· Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

· A fervent dedication to personal and professional growth, with a willingness to embrace new challenges and opportunities.
