  • Competitive rates of pay dependant on experience: £13.30-£15.54
  • Ongoing training and support
  • Discounted plants

Duties:

  • Plant, water, train and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees
  • Perform regular garden maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming and edging lawns
  • Prune and shape trees and hedges to ensure their health and aesthetic appeal
  • Apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed to promote plant growth and control pests
  • Operate power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers
  • Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruning shears for various gardening tasks
  • Making new plant/planting recommendations to clients to improve their gardens

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in garden maintenance is preferred
  • Knowledge of different plant species, their care requirements and common pests/diseases
  • Experience in implementing soft landscaping projects, such as installing new planting schemes or planning sympathetic additions to existing planted areas.
  • Familiarity with operating power tools used in garden maintenance
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects and working in all weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure precise pruning, planting, and maintenance techniques
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Good communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and clients
  • Driving Licence and own transport
  • An RHS (or equivalent) qualification would be preferred although not essential
