Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable gardener and handy man to join our team at Holbrook Manor & Spa. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set that includes experience in garden maintenance, groundskeeping, and general repairs. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage various tasks efficiently while ensuring the upkeep of both indoor and outdoor spaces. A strong understanding of hand tools and power tools is essential, as well as a passion for landscape maintenance and irrigation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs around the property, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
  • Manage garden upkeep, including planting, pruning, and maintaining flower beds and shrubs.
  • Carry out landscape maintenance duties such as mowing lawns, weeding, and mulching.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
  • Assist with irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of gardens and landscapes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify any maintenance needs or safety hazards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete larger projects efficiently.
  • Maintain an organised inventory of tools and supplies required for daily tasks.

Experience

  • Proven experience in maintenance person services or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with garden maintenance practices and groundskeeping techniques is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely is essential.
  • A background in landscape maintenance or horticulture would be beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
