Successful candidates will be required to develop and maintain our clients gardens throughout the year, working closely with other team members to high horticultural standards.
Main duties will include planting, seasonal pruning, hedge cutting, lawn care, seasonal garden management. Our in house gardeners will work closely in developing our clients gardens always keeping a close eye on the overall design.
The successful candidate will enjoy working with a multi disciplined team and be exposed to all aspect of the landscape industry.
What we are looking for:
- A passion for plants, the environment and sustainability
- Horticulturally trained - RHS Level 2 Certificate in Horticulture or equivalent desirable but not essential
- Recent graduates of horticultural courses encouraged to apply.
- Excellent plant knowledge across all main plant groups - trees, shrubs, hedging, perennials, grasses and annuals and a desire to learn more
- Lawn care experience and qualifications desirable but not essential
- Good knowledge of common garden pests and disease, and how to treat them in envionmentally concious ways
- Good knowledge and experience of pruning of different plants, shrubs and trees.
- Gardening experience in both commercial and private residential settings
- High level of competence using garden machinery and tools, including mower, blower, hedge trimmer, strimmer. Chainsaw operation certification desirable but not essential.
- Presentable, tidy, organised and personable
- Great attention to detail and the bigger picture
- An appreciation and understanding of garden design and different garden styles
- Positive attitude and a team player
- Excellent Punctuality and timekeeping
- Full and clean UK driving licence preferred but not essential
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 27 – 45 per week
