Full job description

Thank you for your interest in joining our company. We are an independent family-owned holiday park in the small village of Charmouth. Our team is at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active individual with a passion for gardening to join our grounds team.

We are looking for a part time gardener who will be responsible for keeping the park looking tidy throughout the year, maintaining and improving the planting across the park. They will also have the ability to design and implement projects across the park. They will be able to work mainly independently, as part of the grounds team.

The park is approximately 24acres of landscaped grounds.

What the role looks like:

· The role will be part time, two/three days per week. One day will be a weekend day. The remainder are flexible.

· You will be responsible for all aspects horticultural, such as, but not limited to planting, propagation, weeding, pruning, clearing debris, soft landscaping and other horticultural tasks as needed throughout the year.

· Input into landscaping design projects and implementation.

· Operating garden power tools.

· Working, mainly independently, or as part of a team to complete projects to a high standard.

· Engaging with guests and having good customer service

· The park is approximately 24acres.

In addition to an hourly rate we run a bonus scheme which can see an additional 10% paid on all hours worked during July and August (T&Cs apply).

Requirements:

· Previous experience in garden maintenance/horticulture is essential.

· Able to independently plan and organise horticultural tasks as per the season.

· PA1-PA6 certification.

· Full clean driving license.

· Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

· Good communication skills and a customer-centric attitude.
