Full job description

We have an exciting role on offer within our Environmental Services as a Neighbourhood Caretaker Operative 1.

Do you enjoy outdoor work? Are you interested in working as part of our Neighbourhoods teams? If so please apply if you can demonstrate some practical knowledge of cleansing activities, horticulture, and / or maintaining the outdoor environment.

Please note that training may be available, however experience or qualifications in the following areas is desirable:

Experience in cleansing and horticultural activities across a wide range on environments.

Use of handheld machinery – pedestrian grass cutters, pedestrian street sweepers, strimmers / hedge trimmers / air blower etc.

PA1, PA6, PA6A & PA2, PA2A Chemical Application

Needlestick trained

Asbestos awareness

First Aid at Work

Moving and Handling

Please note, this is 37 hours a week post, Monday to Thursday – 8:30am to 4.30pm, Friday - 8.30am to 4.00pm.
