Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Gardener to join our team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and horticulture, with experience in landscape maintenance and the use of various tools. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to the creation and upkeep of beautiful, functional landscapes.

Responsibilities

  • Planting, pruning, and maintaining trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
  • Operating hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently.
  • Installing new landscape features such as pathways, borders, and garden beds.
  • Performing regular landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, fertilising, and weed control.
  • Assisting with the design and layout of garden spaces in collaboration with clients or landscape architects.
  • Monitoring plant health and applying horticultural treatments as needed.
  • Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, safe, and organised at all times.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance.
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as secateurs, shovels, rakes, and spades.
  • Experience operating power tools including hedge trimmers, lawnmowers, and blowers.
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance.
  • Growing experience with various plants and understanding of horticultural practices.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness to perform outdoor labour in various weather conditions.
  • A full driving licence is essential. This position offers an engaging outdoor working environment for those passionate about gardening and landscape design. Applicants should be organised, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to creating beautiful outdoor spaces.

Pay: £12.80-£13.50 per hour
