Minimum 20hpw guaranteed, 30+hpw available

Overview

The position will be based predominantly outside with some inside work.

Report directly to the marina manager, the groundskeeper will be responsible for ensuring the marina grounds & gardens are well maintained, the marina is kept clean, attractive and in a functional condition with equipment & facilities upheld to a high standard.

Responsible for carrying out all health & safety and compliance checks as required.

Duties

· Complete a daily walkaround site then work on general jobs

· Use hand tools to perform tasks such as raking, shoveling, digging, mowing, trimming, edging, weed spraying, jet washing, gritting etc.

· Build and repair structures such as fences, benches, and pathways

· Taking stock counts and meter readings – gas/electric/water

· Reporting maintenance issues as required - Including reactive and proactive maintenance

· Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are up to date and upheld

· Key holding responsibilities

· Assist with boat movements and lifts when required

Essential

· Previous experience in groundskeeping or a related field

· Ability to work independently and follow instructions

· Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards

· Strong communication skills

· Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks for extended periods of time

· Driving licence

· Mechanical knowledge to operate power tools and equipment safely – specifically a ride on John Dere Mower
