Summary

Steps Together – The Chestnuts is looking for a reliable and practical Maintenance Person to join our friendly team. This is a flexible part-time role, ideal for someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on job and takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out general maintenance and minor repairs
  • Complete basic decorating tasks
  • Maintain the gardens and outdoor areas
  • Perform routine property and health & safety checks
  • Respond to day-to-day maintenance requests
  • Help ensure the building and grounds are well presented and safe for everyone

About You

  • Practical, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Experience in general maintenance, DIY, or a similar role
  • Basic skills in decorating, gardening, and minor repairs
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Friendly, approachable, and trustworthy
