A friendly, outgoing and reliable Plantarea Sales Assistant is required at our Bennybeg Plant Centre near Crieff. We sell a wide range of gardening, home, gift and clothing items; however, garden plants and trees constitute a very significant part of our business and are the main reason why most customers come to us.

Key duties will include plant care, assisting customers with gardening and plant queries, monitoring stock levels, re-stocking and merchandising. For more experienced candidates there will be opportunities to be involved with the plant-buying.

This is a customer facing role, so you should enjoy meeting people and providing an excellent level of service.

Good plant knowledge, which may come from a keen interest in gardening, or formal qualifications in horticulture, is preferred, but we are also happy to consider less experienced individuals who are looking to pursue a career in horticulture. A flair for attractive and creative displays is a definite advantage.

A willingness to work outdoors, maintain high standards of merchandising and an ability to handle pressure during our very busy peak months is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
