Garden Refuse Collection Driver

Job Location base - Caledonian Horticulture, The Pavillion, Galashiels, TD6 9BN.

We are looking for a friendly, organized individual to join our team to be based at our site at Galashiels. We recycle organic material from gardens and local authorities into a range of horticultural products. We provide a service that collects garden refuse from various towns in the Scottish Borders. The successful applicant will be driving our 26t refuse collection bin lorry. This has rear steer axels and two automated bin lifters at the rear.

Duties

  • Collect garden refuse bins from residential properties throughout the Scottish Borders.
  • Assist with loading duties as required.
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks.
  • Complete any required paperwork and electronic records accurately.

Requirements

Essential

  • Drivers CPC
  • Minimum Class C license
  • Digital tachograph card

Hours

  • Summer (March to October) 7:15am - 5pm
  • Winter (November to February) 7:15am - 4pm

Wage dependent on experience and includes paid holidays (depending on number of hours worked).

Job Types: Part time. Flexibility surrounding number of days worked each week.

Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour.
