Join Stirling Council as a Neighbourhood Maintenance Operative and play a key role in keeping our communities clean, safe and welcoming throughout the year.
In this hands-on outdoor role, you’ll support our Land (Neighbourhood) and Roads Services teams to maintain and improve the quality of public spaces across the Stirling area. Whether you’re helping care for parks, open spaces and sports grounds or supporting seasonal and summer service demands, every day brings new challenges and opportunities.

What you will do:
- Carry out grounds maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, weeding, litter picking and street sweeping
- Support cemetery teams with non-grave digging duties
- Operate vehicles, plant and equipment safely and in accordance with training

What we are looking for:
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Physical ability to undertake manual outdoor work
- Understanding of health and safety responsibilities
If you’ve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age (restrictions apply to Modern Apprenticeships), disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.
