Full job description

Experienced Garden Designer

We are an award-winning, specialist plant nursery near Pulborough in West Sussex with a reputation for designing, planting, and maintaining exceptional gardens.

We are looking for an exceptionally talented and hard-working individual to join our DesignTeam. You will join our incredible team of plant experts helping to create the most breath-taking gardens using some of the most amazing plants found on the planet.

We have a bold vision and a defined style at Architectural Plants. We are determined to unleash the potential in all our customers' gardens. We rarely work with drawings, we design on the ground in consultation with our customers – we find it much more exciting, creative, and organic – and we use our beautiful nursery to help customers visualise our designs. We are looking someone who is creative and passionate about plants, as well as being flexible and able to work collaboratively.

We are looking for somebody with:

- Exceptional plant knowledge, alongside an understanding of architectural plant combinations for a range of garden types and terrains.

- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar, customer-facing role, working in design, landscaping, or horticultural sales.

- Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide that ‘Wow Factor’ in every interaction, both with customers and colleagues.

- Creativity and a meticulous eye for detail, but also flexible in their approach to planting design as our process is unique and organic.

- Unrivalled professionalism – efficient, positive, and precise in everything they do.

- The ability to work under pressure, managing multiple designs and quotations simultaneously, delivering high-quality results every time.

- A practical understanding of how gardens are put together is also essential.

- Proficient level of computer literacy and the ability to use cloud-based software.

If you are looking for total job satisfaction and believe you can impress our customers and help deliver their dream garden - then apply here.
