Position: Maintenance Person
Hours: Full-time or part-time considered
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence required

World Heat is looking for a reliable, practical and hands-on Maintenance Person to help look after our two factory sites, offices and outdoor areas.

This is a varied role and would suit someone who is confident turning their hand to different jobs, from general repairs and factory maintenance through to gardening, outdoor upkeep and small improvement works.

The successful applicant must hold a full UK driving licence, as the role will involve driving a Transit-type van between sites and carrying tools, materials, gardening equipment and maintenance supplies.

Main duties will include:

General maintenance across two factory sites and offices
Repairing and fixing items that break around the factories and offices
Putting up TVs, fire extinguishers, signs, shelving, noticeboards and other fixtures
Basic joinery, painting, decorating and general handyman duties
Maintaining outside areas, including grass cutting, strimming, hedges and bushes
Cleaning gutters and keeping external areas tidy and safe
Painting fences, gates, walls and outdoor areas when required
Assisting with moving items, setting up areas and general site improvements
Using and maintaining hand tools, power tools and gardening equipment
Reporting any larger repairs or safety issues to management

The ideal person will be:

Practical, reliable and hardworking
Able to work independently and use common sense
Comfortable working in a factory environment
Happy doing both indoor and outdoor work
Able to carry out a wide range of basic repairs and maintenance tasks
Trustworthy and safety-conscious
Flexible and willing to help wherever needed

Experience in general maintenance, facilities, handyman work, factory maintenance, gardening or property upkeep would be useful, but attitude, reliability and practical ability are the most important things.

A full UK driving licence is essential.

To apply, please send your details and a brief summary of your experience.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
