Based in the South West of Cambridge we are family run business accredited by the Association of Professional Landscapers & The British Association of Landscape Industries with high profile contracts across East Anglia.
Here at Jacq and Wills we currently have a unique opportunity for a passionate Horticulturist to join our small, friendly and hardworking team.
We are currently looking for a individual who is trustworthy, enthusiastic, personable, resilient and conscientious. The chosen candidate should have a passion for horticulture, be keen to learn and work their way up in the company.
You will have the opportunity to work within our growing maintenance & small works division, helping to look after and develop a variety of gardens in and around Cambridgeshire, as well as undertaking small soft‑landscaping projects. In addition, you will have the opportunity to be part of large‑scale planting projects, including tree planting, and to work within professionally designed gardens where high‑quality horticulture and attention to detail are essential.
Applicant must be able to work within a team as well as work on their own. A full driving licence and the ability to pass a DBS check is also required. You should ideally have experience in the following: horticultural skills such as hedge cutting, mowing, spraying, pruning, pond maintenance, and a solid understanding of plants and their care. Experience in soft landscaping - including planting, turfing, basic carpentry, paving, and general landscaping repairs - would also be beneficial.
There are excellent opportunities within the role to gain additional qualifications, take on more responsibility, and progress within the company.
