HEAD GARDENER WITH EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Head Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in groundskeeping and landscape maintenance, with experience in using both power and hand tools. This role involves nurturing and maintaining gardens, ensuring they flourish while providing aesthetic appeal. The Gardener will play a crucial role in creating and sustaining beautiful outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance of gardens, including planting, weeding, pruning, and mulching.
  • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various gardening tasks.
  • Irrigate plants and manage watering schedules to ensure optimal growth conditions.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of landscape projects to enhance the visual appeal of outdoor areas.
  • Monitor plant health, identifying pests or diseases and taking appropriate action to maintain garden vitality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of gardening tools and equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all gardening tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Qualifications

DRIVING LICENSE REQUIRED

  • Proven experience in groundskeeping and gardening is required
  • managing a team and allocating duties in each garden visit
  • Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in gardening tasks.
  • Knowledge of plant care, including growing conditions, pest management, and irrigation techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for landscape maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
