This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic experienced gardener who is looking for a role that offers horticultural creativity and variety to join our small Gardens team at Gresgarth Hall.

We welcome applications from skilled gardeners who can display a strong horticultural knowledge, high attention to detail, positive work ethic and be a team player. The role will specialise in the management of our lawns, herbaceous borders, parkland and other areas as needed.

Experience of using all types of garden machinery is essential as is a good level of fitness and willingness to work in all weather conditions. PA1 and PA6, RHS Level 2 or NVQ equivalent qualification preferred. Chainsaw licence preferable.

Salary depending on experience and position available immediately.

Responsibilities;
- Maintain and care for gardens, lawns and outdoor spaces
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as watering, weeding, pruning, and fertilizing plants.
- Operate power tools and hand tools for soft and hard landscaping tasks
- Plant flowers, trees, and other vegetation according to landscape plans.
- Monitor plant health and identify any pests or diseases
- Clean and maintain garden equipment and tools.
- Assist with groundskeeping duties such as mowing lawns, raking leaves, and removing debris.

Qualifications-

-RHS Level 2/3 or NVQ equivalent in amenity horticulture

-PA1/PA6

-Chainsaw licence

-Spraying licence
- Previous experience in garden maintenance.
- Knowledge of different plant species and their care requirements
- Familiarity with hand tools, 2 and 4 stroke machinery used in gardening

- Physical stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

-Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively

-Must be able to commute and hold a valid UK drivers licence
