Part-time Gardener - Lindemann Care Home Group

Job Description

Part-time Gardener - 9 hours per week over 3 days

Lindemann Care Home Group is a family-run business which was established in 1995 and has over 30 years of experience caring for older people in Edinburgh. Our dedicated team aims to provide specialised care in a safe, homely atmosphere where the residents are cared for with dignity and respect. This allows each resident to function at their optimum level, where they can feel content and “at home”.

We believe that our Care Homes should be therapeutic yet home-like environments where the resident can feel their individual needs are met with priority. Our vision is to have a structure of flexibility in our approach. We will create opportunities through active observation and our training frameworks to establish a culture and coach our people in our Company Care V.A.L.U.E.S and our Residents Charter.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintaining all grassed areas, including mowing, trimming, weed control, repairs and feeding.
  • Ensuring all trees and shrubs are maintained, including trimming, pruning, and assessing stability.
  • Maintaining all flower beds, border plants, hanging baskets and potted plants.
  • Providing general maintenance, including sweeping and weed removal on all paved areas, removing any litter and raking leaves.
  • Responsible for keeping the tool sheds and storage areas tidy and maintaining all garden equipment and tools.

Benefits Include:

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years hands on experiencein grounds maintenance and a passion for gardening.
  • Experience within a large commercial estate, knowledge of horticulture statutory requirements and a gardening or horticultural qualification would be advantageous.
  • Friendly and approachable, you have excellent customer service skills and an ability to work well as part of a large team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9.0 per week
