Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance & Gardening Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to maintain and repair various systems within our facility. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

They will work alongside a full time Maintenance Officer in situ and support with landscaping, gardening and external repairs and upkeep of the organisations properties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs
• Be able to drive company vehicles
• Have a clean license and DBS with no convictions
• Perform simple repairs on electrical systems, machinery, and mechanical components
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all maintenance activities
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management
• Be approachable and friendly giving due regard to confidentiality and dignity towards the people using our services
• Document maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on tasks

Experience

• Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably within an industrial or commercial setting
• Strong Knowledge and experience of gardening and landscaping
• Proficient in the safe use of garden appliances inc. hedge cutters, lawn mowers and other powered equipment
• A customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to address issues professionally

Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
