Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a passion for landscape maintenance, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Groundskeeper will play a vital role in ensuring that our grounds are well-kept, safe, and inviting.

Duties

• Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to dig, build, and maintain garden beds.
• Irrigate plants and lawns as needed to ensure healthy growth.
• Assist in planting flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the landscape.
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas by removing debris and litter.
• Monitor the health of plants and report any issues such as pests or diseases.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete larger landscaping projects.

Requirements

• Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to gardening tasks.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for the upkeep of equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods.
• A keen eye for detail and an appreciation for aesthetics in landscaping.
• Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.

Pay: From £11.44 per hour
