Technical & Quality Manager

In the heart of the New Forest, Double H are a market leader in indoor plants, supplying UK supermarkets, garden centres and online retailers. We have invested heavily in the most modern plant production facilities in the UK, and are leading the industry with innovative, sustainable and efficient manufacturing practices. We are recruiting for a Technical & Quality Manager to take ownership of the team, for both technical plant products and quality control for Double H.

The Role

We’re looking for a Technical & Quality Manager who will have full responsibility for our technical plant products and quality control across the business. You will take the lead on plant technical matters aligned to our customer needs, agreeing plant specifications which are accurate, achievable and communicated to the wider business to ensure compliance. You will work closely with growers and producers to review crops and production to ensure our technical requirements are met, this role will require some European travel.

Quality control is an important part of our business, ensuring our plants are within specification or agreed temporary specification is key, you will take the lead on working closely with our customers including major supermarkets. You will support the business in conducting audits, leading continuous improvement, maintaining compliance standards whilst driving process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.

The Person

For Double H personality is key, this is a hands-on role with customer interaction, we are looking for someone with experience within horticulture or fresh produce with great communication, organisation and management skills and understands the need to get this right for our business. You will enjoy bringing energy and positivity to everything you do whilst thriving on a fast pace of life, this is an opportunity to take ownership for the technical aspects of plant products and the end-to-end quality processes.
