Join our team of passionate horticulturists at County Garden Management, an established garden management company dedicated to the care and enhancement of exceptional client gardens and commercial grounds in the scenic Essex countryside. We are currently seeking a Trainee Horticulturist to contribute to the maintenance and development of our diverse portfolio of outdoor spaces.

About the Position:

As a Trainee Horticulturist, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of qualified and experienced professionals. This role is designed to provide you with hands-on experience, practical skills, and a deep understanding of horticulture. Responsibilities:

Your day-to-day duties as a Trainee Horticulturist will include:

  • General maintenance and presentation of gardens and grounds.
  • Assisting with lawn care and soft landscaping.
  • Maintaining plant beds and borders: planting, mulching, pruning, cultivation, watering, and weed control.
  • Assisting with the movement of plants, tools, equipment, and heavy loads.
  • Learning to safely operate a range of equipment and machinery for tasks such as strimming, mowing, leaf blowing, hedge cutting, and tree works.
