The successful candidate can be located anywhere in England as much of the delivery will be remote, theory-based training using technology platforms. Your role will include some face-to-face visits to client premises, to support employers in the delivery of practical skills, as well as providing training and assessment for apprentices. You will also coordinate the course with their employers and perform Internal Quality Assurance if needed.

You will need:

  • Relevant HND/Degree OR L3 qualification in horticulture
  • Broad industry experience
  • To be professional and approachable with excellent communication and people skills
  • The ability to support learners with vocationally embedded Maths and English skills, up to level 2.
  • Competent computer skills and a willingness to learn to use an e-portfolio as well as the ability to deliver training confidently, via remote communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom etc.
  • The means to travel to rural business premises.
  • Business use insurance for your vehicle prior to start date of any post offered

Advantageous:

  • Teaching experience in an FE or HE environment
  • A teaching qualification at L3 or above
  • TAQA L3 or equivalent and/or assessment experience
  • TAQA L4 or equivalent
  • An understanding of work-based learning
  • GCSEs at Grade C or above in Maths, English

· PA1, PA6, PA6 AW and PA2.

You will also need the self-discipline to manage your own time and workload and undertake the necessary administration required of the post, to keep the company in compliance with relevant legislation.

This post is a full-time (Monday – Friday), permanent position, however, fractional positions of a minimum of 3 days per week may be considered.

Salary £27,250 - £30,000 dependent on qualifications and experience, plus travel expenses and pension scheme.

For the right candidate, we can provide the opportunity to undertake teaching and/or assessment and/or quality assurance qualifications as part of your CPD, if not already held.

Closing date for applications: midnight on Friday 25th 2025. Initial interviews will be via Microsoft Teams between 30th July and 1st Aug 2025, from which a short list will be drawn for second interview the following week.
