JOB Specification

Your priority will be to help look after our hot tubs & surrounding deckings-which is more of the good stuff we have to offer at our holiday lets. You’ll make sure our hot tubs are working properly, drained and filled on change over days, as well as testing them every-day to ensure all chemical levels are correct. You will also be responsible for ensuring our decking areas are sparkling clean and all our surrounding holiday lets grounds are in great condition for our guests.

You will also be responsible for assisting in the upkeep of grounds at all our holiday parks across Portrush and carry out general grounds maintenance and associated duties (but not exclusive) to valeting caravans & driveways for our sales handover process, grass cutting and strimming duties, as well as litter picking.

The successful post holder may be required from time to time to assist with general site maintenance and development such as construction work, siting of caravans, gas cylinder deliveries, tarmacing, concreting and other utility related work.

Person Specification

· Candidates should have previous experience in operating hot tubs and all associated tasks- ie cleaning, drain down- or similar machinery

· Ability to test and treat hot tubs- full training and guidance given if successful at interview

· Experience in landscape/grounds maintenance role

· Have excellent communication skills and the ability to plan and execute work effectively and efficiently.

· Good organisational skills

· An eye for detail is also important.

· Have a friendly and helpful attitude

· Excellent attitude to troubleshooting when problems arise

· Be open and willing to learn new skills

· Good practical skills in garden and grounds maintenance

· Ability to operate various horticultural machinery such as push mowers, ride-on lawn mowers

· A full UK driving licence is essential in this role

Desirable Person Specification

  • Any previous experience of hot tub maintenance would be a bonus – ie risk assessments, chemical handling training, hot tub/ spa/ pool treatment training.
  • Good plant knowledge and understanding of correct horticultural practices
  • Excellent technical horticultural knowledge and practical skills
  • Knowledge and experience of handling, using and storing horticultural pesticides and chemicals
  • Relevant horticultural training ie pesticide training

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for testing and adjusting chemicals of hot tubs on a daily basis- keeping daily records for health and safety purposes

2. Responsible for all cleaning duties for hot tub changeovers- including all decking areas and associated equipment

3. Ensuring that all hot tubs on site are working properly, drained& filled for changeover days as well as ensuring all hot tub decking areas are in good state of repair & clean for our customers

4. Site maintenance duties such as sales caravan valets, grass cutting and strimming, weeding beds and borders and shrub maintenance

5. Operating various plant and machinery in a safe manner and ensure safety and upkeep of all equipment.

6. Promote and maintain the company ethos of excellence in customer care.

7. Assisting in providing services to customer's sites and short-term sites.

8. Delivery and installing Gas Cylinders at customer caravans.

9. Maintenance and keeping order of stores and stocks.
