Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Horticulturist to join our family run nurseries .

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for plants with a strong understanding of horticultural practices.

Duties

  • Oversee the propagation & growth of seasonal bedding plants, Perennials & Shrubs
  • Use irrigation systems to ensure optimal water supply for all plants.
  • Identify and address pest or disease issues promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the Nursery.
  • Collaborate with team members whenever working on tasks.

Skills

  • Proficient in growing techniques and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of growing conditions for a variety of plants.
  • Experience in irrigating systems and their management.
  • Familiarity with displaying products aesthetically.
  • Competent in the safe use of power tools and hand tools relevant to horticulture tasks.
  • Excellent observational skills to assess plant health and environmental conditions.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in an outdoor setting.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about horticulture and eager to contribute positively to our evolving family run Nursery.

You must be fully flexible to work on a rota basis over a seven day trading period that may include Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Pay to be discussed dependant on experience.

£13 - £14 per hour
