Garden and Landscape Design Lecturer

Location: Cornwall College University Centre, Eden Campus, Bodelva, Cornwall
Contract Type: Associate Basis, Variable Hours
Hourly Rate: £18.56

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Garden and Landscape Design Lecturer to join our academic team on an Associate basis, at the Cornwall College University Centre, Eden Campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across Levels 4 to 6 of our Garden and Landscape Design degree programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality teaching across a range of subjects related to Garden and Landscape Design.
  • Contributing to course development and delivery, ensuring content is up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
  • Engaging students effectively, helping them to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in landscape design.

Skills & Experience

  • Educated to Level 7 (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or a closely related discipline.
  • Practical experience in landscape architecture, landscape design, or a similar field.
  • Strong knowledge of horticulture, sustainable enterprise, biodiversity net gain, and design communications.
  • Ability to support students through critical stages of their learning journey, fostering a creative, supportive, and engaging learning environment.

Key Skills and Attributes

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in higher education or teaching is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and support students across multiple levels of study.
  • Enthusiasm for sustainability and innovation in design.
