Job Vacancy: Ground Maintenance Operative

Marine Holiday Park, Rhyl, LL18 2HG

Full-Time Permeant Position ( following successful probation period )

We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic Ground Maintenance Operative to join our team at our busy caravan park.

The successful candidate will help maintain the park’s grounds, communal areas and outdoor spaces to a high standard, ensuring a clean, tidy, safe and welcoming environment for our owners, holidaymakers and visitors.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work and can work efficiently as part of a busy team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grass cutting and lawn maintenance using hand mowers and sit-on commercial mowers.
  • Operating strimmer’s, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers and other commercial gardening equipment.
  • General groundskeeping, including hedge cutting, edging, weeding and maintaining flowerbeds.
  • Litter picking throughout the park, including roads, pathways, communal areas and green spaces.
  • Emptying bins and ensuring waste areas are kept clean, tidy and hygienic.
  • Maintaining pathways, verges and communal outdoor areas to a high standard.
  • Identifying and reporting any maintenance issues, hazards or damage around the park.
  • Carrying out routine checks and basic upkeep of gardening equipment.
  • Following health and safety procedures and ensuring equipment is used safely.
  • Assisting with other general maintenance duties as required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has experience in grounds maintenance, gardening or a similar outdoor role.
  • Is confident using hand mowers, sit-on mowers, strimmer’s and commercial gardening equipment, or is willing to learn.
  • Is physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work in all weather conditions.
  • Has a positive attitude, good attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
  • Is reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Understands the importance of keeping a busy holiday park clean, tidy and presentable.
  • Has a flexible approach to work, particularly during busy holiday periods.

A full UK driving licence is required and relevant machinery experience would be advantageous.
