Full job description

The Senior Landscape Gardener will support our landscaping team with the day-to-day delivery of garden and grounds maintenance projects. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to progress within the landscaping industry who is eager to learn, gain hands-on experience, and grow within a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in carrying out day-to-day work.
  • Drive the company van to and from job sites, ensuring all tools and materials are transported safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure job notes and site records are kept accurate and up to date, especially in the absence of the JGL.
  • Carry out daily landscaping tasks including planting, weeding, pruning, lawn care, and general site upkeep.
  • Follow instructions from the Head Gardener and support the team on-site.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.

Requirements:

  • Experience in landscaping, gardening, or horticulture.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Punctual, polite, and professional attitude.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Competent in basic record-keeping and job tracking.
  • Full and clean driver’s license.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within a leadership role.
  • Basic plant knowledge or horticultural training.
  • Interest in developing a career in the landscaping industry.
  • Pa1/6 qualification

Pay: £13.00-£20.00 per hour
