JOB TITLE: eCommerce Manager

REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer

MAIN PURPOSE

To maximise retail sales and profit through the most effective marketing of products and budget management and the highest level of customer service.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for:

  • Ensuring that effective processes are put into place to achieve maximum sales income.
  • Planning product ranges, budgets and sales forecasts, and producing reports for the CEO.
  • Promoting a customer care environment and managing customer service for the Trust, including e-commerce queries and complaints, general Trust enquiries and contact for the Trust membership scheme.
  • All aspects of e-commerce including buying, merchandising and digitally marketing products to achieve maximum sales and profit.
  • Analysing sales information to develop the promotional calendar to market products digitally through the year and achieve sales targets.
  • Developing and briefing the designs and themes for artwork to be used in digital marketing.
  • Building and scheduling email campaigns and social media marketing.
  • Managing the e-commerce platform, WooCommerce, including the display of products through effective photography and sales descriptions to maximise sales.
  • Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers, seeking new ones and negotiating the best prices for new products and re-orders.
  • Identifying production and supply difficulties and dealing with any problems or delays as they arise.
  • Controlling stock levels through analysing bestsellers, monitoring slow sellers and forecasting for the season.
  • Managing the stock control to comply with audit requirements, including; creating and monitoring open purchase orders and recording all stock movements.
  • Effective communication with the Group Finance Manager.
  • Planning and implementing twice yearly stocktakes.
  • Effective communication with the Airside Manager and Events Team to ensure the smooth running of events.
  • Managing, training and mentoring the Retail Administrator and volunteer staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, particularly in the e-commerce warehouse.
  • The effective processing of rewards for online donations in fundraising campaigns.
  • Planning and drafting monthly newsletter communications to subscribers.
  • Managing the distribution process for the bi-annual Guardians’ Membership Magazine.
