Maintenance Person
This is a hands-on role and appropriate experience and relevant qualifications in minor electrical, plumbing, joinery work and decorating, an understanding of central heating systems is also desirable.
The main responsibilities will be to ensure high standards of maintenance throughout two Care Homes and their grounds. You will organise and undertake general maintenance which will include basic plumbing, tiling, painting and decorating, grounds maintenance work, general building work, replacing light bulbs, cleaning gutters etc. You will also be responsible for undertaking PAT Testing (Portable Appliance Testing) of all electrical items in accordance with legislative guidelines., as well as for testing and recording water temperatures and temperature control systems on all showers and similar items as part of the legionella prevention regime.
The role will cover Care Homes in Chichester and Otterbourne, so the successful applicant will need to be mobile, have a full driving license, and be flexible to respond to maintenance requirements as they arise. The successful applicant will also be responsible, in conjunction with the Director of operations, with developing and operating a preventative maintenance schedule. 4 days a week
