Full job description

Bells Motor Group is looking for an experienced Parts Manager based at our dual franchise dealership in Northampton.

You will be reporting into the Group Aftersales Manager and oversee the day-to-day running of the Volvo and Kia Parts department. Operating in an effective and profitable manner by maximising sales, profit and service to both retail and trade customers. You will motivate and manage the parts team and be a key member of the dealership Management team.

To be successful in this role you will have previous Parts Management experience and demonstrate the following skills:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
  • A professional and calm approach with strong management skills
  • A commitment to customer and staff satisfaction

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the parts department
  • Develop Parts Plan and Budget to agreed financial and business targets.
  • Brief the team regarding department objectives and give regular feedback on achievements
  • Ensure the dealership achieves optimum market penetration by maximising sales of parts to trade and retail customers
  • Work in a fast-paced environment in a calm, organised and efficient manner
  • Manage parts stock levels and ensure daily orders are fulfilled.
  • Stock orders to Volvo and Kia by due times
  • Take responsibility for sales activities and any promotions or marketing activities across the Volvo and Kia brand to promote all products and services effectively.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with supplier’s external representatives
  • Manage the parts delivery team
  • Ensure that the Team achieve high standards of professionalism by building strong relationships with both customers and colleagues across the Dealership.
  • Always achieve the highest level of customer care and satisfaction
  • Manage and maintain all back-office functions and systems including general stock control, monitor of obsolete stock and first-time parts availability.
  • Maintain Parts area to agreed housekeeping standards.
  • Recruitment, induction, and performance management of all parts department employees

Results

· 95% first time fix rate

· Profitability of Parts Department

Education:

Experience: Motor Trade Experience / Parts Department Experience
