Job Description: Maintenance Team Member
Job Purpose:
Responsible directly to the Estates Foreman for the maintenance of the grounds and the general infrastructure of the Parks, including pitches, buildings, roads and site services on our static and touring parks; but will take instruction from the Main Office from time to time. As required be part of the Siting Crew for the siting, movement and commissioning of caravan holiday homes. Ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining exceptional standards of delivery and professionalism.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· To take positive action to meet Company objectives and targets
- Hold a full valid UK driving licence
· To work as part of the maintenance team on general duties including but not limited to grounds and park infrastructure maintenance
· To complete siting, connection and the de-siting or disconnection of holiday homes
· To complete minor repairs to holiday caravans such as changing plumbing fittings and the like
· To carry out Winter Drain Offs and Re-connections
· To safely and correctly complete and record gas bottle changeovers on holiday caravans and buildings
· To carry out gritting, salt spreading, snow clearance around the Parks, as necessary
· Complete all record documents in a clear, legible and timely manner
· To support, implement and follow procedures concerning Health, Safety and Fire Regulations
· Attend to and take all necessary action, statutory or otherwise, in the event of incidents or accident, flood, fire, theft, loss, damage, or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate
· To ensure security, functionality and proper handling of company property and equipment
· To ensure safe use and operation of equipment and machinery used in maintenance tasks
· To inform the Estates Foreman or where appropriate, take corrective action on mechanical defects or breakdown of equipment and ensure equipment is not used until safe
· To ensure that all equipment, clothing, PPE issued and used by you is maintained to a safe and serviceable condition
· To assist in keeping the workshops/storage compounds clean and tidy
· To report any gas / electrical / water or other service faults to the Estates Foreman immediately
· To handle keys securely and responsibly and according to Company Policy, when required
· To be an effective and positive communicator with customers
· To take prompt action to feedback customer complaints to the Estates Foreman or the General Manager
· To build positive relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction
· To project a positive, approachable, friendly and professional image
· To ensure your personal appearance is according to Company Policy including any uniform or PPE
· To ensure you have a full valid UK driving licence
· To report any change in personal circumstances to the Main Office such as contact details, address, next of kin, telephone numbers etc
· Ensure all written communication presents a professional image to customers and staff
· To attend meetings and undertake training as required, some of which may be computer based
· To have a clear working knowledge of all Company Policies and operate within them at all times
· To undertake any other duties as and when required by the General Management and/or Estates Foreman
These duties will require working on any of the 6 Parks owned and operated by Springs Estates (Lincolnshire) Ltd and will require weekend and Public Holiday working.
