Are you a skilled maintenance professional looking to make a meaningful impact? Join The Nelson Trust, an award-winning provider of residential addiction services and community support for women involved in the criminal justice system and those experiencing multiple complex needs.

As a Maintenance Operative, you will be a crucial part of our team, responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks across our properties. Your role will involve both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring our facilities are safe, functional, and welcoming for our residents and clients.

You will perform general building maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, and painting. Regular inspections and assessments will be part of your routine to identify and address maintenance issues promptly. Collaboration with a small team and volunteers is essential to complete tasks efficiently, while ensuring all work complies with health and safety standards. Maintaining accurate records of work conducted and managing materials effectively will also be key aspects of your role.

We are looking for someone with a positive and proactive approach to problem-solving, who is a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills. An empathetic and non-judgmental attitude towards service users is crucial, as is the ability to be flexible and work under pressure.

Previous experience in property maintenance is required, along with basic knowledge of various maintenance tasks. A full driving license is essential for this role.
