About Lights Cars Action (LCA)

LCA has existed for some 15 years as a company providing modern/classic vehicle restoration & maintenance as well as historic race car support and set up. In the last 11 years it has been a more commercial operation running out of a 24,000 sq ft facility, providing all the services mentioned above but now also providing dehumidified car storage & very high end vehicle body & paint work. We also provide general servicing to a wide variety of super cars, classic cars and general vehicles to the general public, collectors and racing drivers.

The position available is for someone enthusiastic & passionate about all types of cars, who has excellent general mechanical knowledge and also experience of classic car restoration.

It would also be useful to have an interest in racing & experience with racing cars (not essential), particularly historic, as LCA does travel often supporting and taking part in historic racing events such as; The Goodwood Members Meeting, The Goodwood Revival, The Monaco Historique GP, and many other events across the UK & Europe. An interest in working at these events would be great, but it will not be the full time job role.

Good organisational skills are necessary & the ability to fill out time-sheets & job-cards with accuracy is an absolute must. We are a fast paced working environment so being able to carry out jobs within this productive environment without distraction is paramount.

Skills wanted, but not all necessary, and not limited to:

- Vehicle Servicing

- Vehicle Restoration

- Vehicle Diagnostics

- Knowledge of Auto Electronics

- Strip & Fit

- Dealing with customers to explain issues with an excellent level of customer service

- Race Car Preparation/Re-building

Normal working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5pm, occasional weekends may be needed when we are at racing events. Own tools is preferred & can be accommodated & own steel toe work boots is necessary - Uniform provided after probation period.

Pay: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
