Company Overview
Nonnington Farm is a vibrant working farm located in the picturesque South Downs National Park. Our mission is to create a safe and peaceful retreat for both animals and humans, focusing on therapeutic practices that help individuals find respite from life's pressures, particularly in managing depression and anxiety.
Summary
We are seeking a Handy Man to join our team at Nonnington Farm. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining the farm's facilities and ensuring a safe environment for our diverse array of animals and visitors. Your contributions will directly support our mission of providing a therapeutic space for healing.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks around the farm, including repairs and upkeep of buildings and equipment.
- Assist in creating safe environments for both animals and visitors by ensuring all facilities are well-maintained.
- Collaborate with the team to identify areas needing repair or improvement.
- Help with landscaping and outdoor maintenance to enhance the beauty of the farm.
- Support special projects as needed to improve the overall functionality of the farm.
- Drive a 3.5 tonne van
Requirements
- Previous experience in maintenance or maintenance person roles preferred.
- Basic knowledge of repair techniques and tools.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A passion for working in an outdoor environment with animals is a plus.
- A clean driving license
