Job Overview
Chapel Dental Care are seeking an experienced and dedicated Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our recently refurbished mixed dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of aspects of financial management, human resources, and practice administration. This role is crucial in ensuring that our practice runs smoothly while providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a diverse dental team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and professional development.
- Oversee aspects of financial management, including stock control budgeting, forwarding of general billing, oversee daily and weekly financial reconciliation and control of patient accounts to ensure the practice remains profitable.
- Manage human resources functions such as staff training, performance/training reviews, and employee relations.
- Oversee the practices compliance/ clinical governance system and maintain practice policies including Health & Safety, CQC compliance and staff CPD.
- Oversee the management of patient scheduling, to ensure the timely delivery of required UDAs to fulfil the NHS contract. Ensuring optimal utilisation of resources while maintaining high levels of patient satisfaction.
- Coordinate with dental suppliers and laboratories to ensure availability to fulfil clinical needs.
- Monitor practice performance and assist senior managers to develop strategies for improvement in both clinical and administrative areas.
- Address patient concerns and feedback promptly to uphold the practice's reputation for quality care.
Skills & requirements
- Proven experience in supervising a dental team.
- Qualification in dental nursing and/or radiography would be desirable but not compulsory.
- Knowledge of CQC and NHS regulation requirements.
- Knowledge of human resources practices, including assisting with recruitment and employee management.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on building relationships with staff and patients alike.
- A commitment to continuous professional development in dental practice management.
