Swimming Pools are at the heart of our offering, but the Company has a diverse portfolio of facilities including catering units, complex structures, spa facilities and many other features. The successful candidate will develop a broad knowledge of Estate Management, compliance, maintenance and pool plant operations, under the guidance of our experienced Group Facilities Manager and will also carry out Duty Management shifts as required, particularly at weekends and school holidays.

This is a unique role which will require a lot of learning over a long period of time - similar experience is beneficial, but not essential. You must be competent at carrying out manual tasks and have the ability to solve problems in a logical and timely manner. The successful candidate will need to work weekends and school holidays & do Duty Management shifts at these peak times.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to develop real-life skills, on the job, and begin a long career in a fantastic leisure business.

  • Managing and auditing an internal, preventative maintenance schedule of works and inspections.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance & jobs in general, but particularly in the plant rooms.
  • Working with a panel of established contractors to organise and deliver an ongoing programme of servicing, maintenance and improvements.
  • Project-managing new installations and projects.
  • Keeping tabs on utility usage and enabling savings where possible.
  • Using initiative and experience to problem-solve and manage day-to-day activities to ensure the facilities run smoothly and any issues are dealt with quickly to minimise disruption.
  • Reviewing costs of works and quotations to ensure best value. Working within budgets.
  • Supporting all team members by solving both professional and technical issues.
  • Maintaining standards, opening & closing and managing staff when on Duty shifts.

Desirable requirements, but not essential:

  • Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety, compliance, plant operations, engineering or a relevant trade
  • Management and Leadership experience
  • Proven track-record of accomplishment in a similar role and industry
  • Pool Plant Operators certificate
  • Technical background and hands-on ability to contribute where required

Start Date: As soon as possible

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Weekends and School Holiday work required.

The successful candidate will be expected to join the Facilities Management on-call rota, once competent in all areas.

Discretionary Benefits:

  • Complimentary Membership to M Club Spa and Fitness
  • Free Parking
  • Working day food and drink allowance
  • Complimentary admission to Waterworld Aqua Park and Adventure Mini Golf (limited number per month)

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) Check. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.
