Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Builder to join our team, responsible for constructing, assembling, and maintaining various structures and components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of building techniques and materials, demonstrating proficiency in both manual and power tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Duties
- Stud work, plasterboarding, plastering, tiling, plumbing, wiring etc.
- Perform painting tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of structures.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in all aspects of construction work.
- Conduct joinery tasks, ensuring precision in fitting and finishing woodwork.
- Install roofing systems, ensuring proper sealing and insulation for durability.
- Execute plumbing installations as required, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly.
Skills
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to construction tasks.
- Strong carpentry skills with experience in joinery techniques.
- Ability to plumb fixtures accurately and efficiently.
- Experience in roofing installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical systems is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all work performed.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
