About The Role

We are looking for a highly experienced and dedicated Clinical Manager with a background in nursing and complex care. You will be working at Kitnocks House, our 63-bed service in the picturesque village of Curdridge on the outskirts of Southampton which was rated as ‘Good’ by the CQC across all five KLOEs in August 2022.

Essential experience

  • Registered Nurse in a complex care service or similar service type
  • Management of 5+ employees - minimum 3 years
  • Experienced in a minimum of a 25-bed service

Hours of work

Monday to Friday between 09.00 and 17.00 (40 hours per week)

On-call will be required on a rolling rota so flexibility outside of these times will be required as well as occasional weekends to meet the needs of the business.

Role of a Clinical Manager

  • Act as an expert practitioner with a particular emphasis on specialist care offering support and guidance to the nursing team as appropriate and ensuring that all members of the team are actively engaged in delivering resident care in accordance with the agreed care plan
  • Direct Line Manager to the Nursing team
  • Working with the Learning and Development Manager to provide a positive learning environment
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to the Nursing team and potential students.
  • Ensure the nursing team assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual care plans involving other relevant agencies as appropriate
  • Ensure all current and newly referred individuals are properly assessed and that high quality, person-centred support is provided throughout
  • To be a part of the Governance Committee overseeing clinical practice including audits, training and safeguarding incidents
  • Participate in the On-Call system on a rota
  • To undertake investigations in line with relevant organisational policy
  • To deputise for the General Manager as required and lead on agreed areas of work for both the team and wider area

About Us

Cornerstone Healthcare Group provide specialist care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs.

Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as Dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them unsuitable to live in dementia care homes or residential care homes for the elderly.
We currently have 4 homes based in Waterlooville, Curdridge, Mytchett & Wincanton and are in the process of building a new service in Bristol due to open in early 2025.
