25 Hours per week. 2/3 hours before School and 2/3 hours from 3pm

Permanent (6 month probation)
Basis:
Part time (20 days holiday, including bank holidays)

Job purpose:
To undertake all grounds related activities in order to ensure that the whole school site is maintained to an excellent standard and to provide a good impression to all visitors to the school, parents, students and staff
Primary Responsibilities/Activities
- Provide day-to-day maintenance and planned statutory building maintenance across the school
- To provide reactive maintenance tasks in line with any request
- Liaise with contractors as required, maintaining positive relationships with external contractors to maintain facilities
- To deliver continuous provisions of utilities to the school
- To maintain the school’s equipment and machinery i.e PAT testing new electronics
- Advise on the repair or replacement of faulty equipment
- Painting and decorating as directed
- Complete weekly company vehicle checks to ensure safe use of vehicles
- Take vehicles to and from garage for MOTs and any other work as required
- Maintaining the appearance of the front and back of the school
- Maintaining the appearance of the grassed and planted areas
- Control of weeds, moss and ivy around the sites
- Sweeping the front entrances to the sites and keeping free of vegetation debris
- Assist with manual tasks as required including the moving and setting up of furniture.
- To open and lock up the school securely
- Complete monthly emergency lighting and water temperature checks
- Carry out weekly checks on fire safety i.e Extinguishers, call alarms
- To carry out other relevant duties as required by the Headteacher.
