Role Specific Tasks

The Group Technical & Commercial Manager will take ownership of the technical and commercial assessment of opportunities. Core responsibilities include:

· Act as a knowledgeable technical point of contact for housebuilders and property developers, responding to enquiries and building trusted working relationships.

· Meet with developer clients and attend relevant sites to understand their requirements, discuss projects and explain Indevor Infra’s services.

· Assess prospective opportunities using relevant civil engineering and development infrastructure knowledge, identifying key technical considerations.

· Prepare clear, considered pricing and commercial proposals using the business’s established pricing framework.

· Work in partnership with sales and marketing colleagues on introductions, client relationships, proposals and the progression of opportunities.

· Translate complex engineering requirements into practical recommendations and commercially informed solutions for clients.

· Coordinate technical information and project requirements with relevant colleagues to support accurate and timely responses.

· Maintain a proactive, responsive approach to developer enquiries and support opportunities through the commercial process.

· Contribute to improvements in technical and commercial working practices as Indevor Infra expands.

· Take ownership of workstreams and collaborate across the business to develop its technical and commercial capability.

The responsibilities outlined are representative of the principal duties associated with the role. All colleagues are expected to adopt a flexible approach, undertaking additional duties commensurate with the role and contributing to the wider success of the business where required.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a technically credible and commercially minded professional with experience in housebuilding or development infrastructure, ideally operating at Senior Engineer or Senior Development Engineer level or equivalent.

· Strong practical understanding of residential development infrastructure and the civil engineering requirements of housebuilding projects.

· Experience at Senior Engineer level, or equivalent technical responsibility, within a housebuilder, engineering consultancy or relevant infrastructure organisation.

· Confidence engaging directly with developers, understanding client requirements and communicating technical matters clearly.

· Commercial judgement and the ability to assess opportunities and prepare proposals using an established pricing methodology.

· Ability to balance engineering detail with practical client requirements and clear commercial priorities.

· Collaborative approach to working with sales, marketing and other colleagues to progress developer enquiries.

· Proactive, organised and comfortable taking responsibility in a developing business.

· Willingness to travel to client meetings and sites, with Warrington as the preferred base; an exceptional candidate may be considered for a Midlands base.

· Motivation to move into a broader technical and commercial position with long-term scope for development and growth.

Additional Desirable Attributes

Relevant structural engineering experience connected to housing or infrastructure; technical cost engineering or estimating experience combined with the required client-facing and engineering capabilities.
