Overview
Homefield Grange Spa Retreat is a 5-star, 17-bedroom property, located in Rushton, Northants. We offer our valued clients lifestyle wellness programmes that encourage positive healthy living for mind and body. We are seeking a full time professional Mr Fixit to ensure that our venue is kept to its highest standards.
The ideal candidate will be a good all rounder and possess a strong mechanical background, demonstrating proficiency in a wide range of general repairs, including basic carpentry, plumbing and typical needs for keeping a health spa property to a 5-star standard.
This role requires an individual who can work independently as well as part of a team, reporting to the General Manager. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and safety of the retreat . A background in hospitality and or spa setting would be advantageous but not essential.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in maintenance roles
- General knowledge of electrical skills
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with staff at all levels
- Strong problem solving abilities and logical thinking skills
- A proactive approach to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment
- A keen eye for detail
- General knowledge of looking after spa equipment (training will be given)
- General knowledge and maintenance of PH levels for our hydropool (training will be given)
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal
Responsibilities
- Daily site inspections to maintain and uphold our 5-star standard for all facilities
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including daily maintenance log
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs of the whole site, including but not limited to guest bedrooms, lounge, dining area, staff room, plant room and equipment, kitchen, reception, practitioner room and all spa facilities
- Organise and liaise with third party contractors, electricians, plumbers, air conditioning engineers to manage works
- Project manage future company developments, building works
- Regular fire alarm testing and monitoring, ensuring up to date and accurate records
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests
- Collaborate with the management team and other departments to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
