Full job description

The Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented BMS Estimator to join our expanding commercial team. In this key role, you’ll report to the Sales Director and collaborate closely with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to produce accurate and competitive quotations for BMS projects.

You’ll join a friendly, experienced team with over 250 years of combined industry knowledge, working on diverse and rewarding projects. This role offers excellent potential for growth and progression within a supportive and forward-thinking company.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Review customer enquiries and tender documentation to identify project scope and requirements.
  • Use internal estimation tools to calculate labour, materials, and associated project costs.
  • Analyse technical specifications, schematics, and engineering drawings to inform cost modelling.
  • Prepare and submit detailed quotations and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Represent BCS professionally at all times, promoting our reputation and values.
  • Collaborate closely with the internal Team to ensure estimates align with strategic goals.
  • Attend the Lutterworth office regularly as part of the hybrid working arrangement.

Ideal Background

Skills & Experience

  • Technical background in BMS (preferred)
  • Previous estimating or technical sales experience
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings
  • Excellent communication skills and customer-facing confidence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
  • Strong written communication and reporting skills
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn
  • Must be able to commute to Lutterworth or plan to relocate
