• Working day shifts 4 on 4 off (6AM-6PM & 8AM-8PM, 7AM – 7PM weekends)
• On call rota on evenings and weekends once relevant experience attained (2 of 4 shifts)

Essential Skills & Qualities:

• Industrial knowledge/qualifications are essential in electrics/mechanical fitting
• Must have a strong mechanical engineering background covering working with pumps, conveyors and other general mechanical equipment. Being able to weld would also be preferred.
• 3-phase and control circuit electrical fault finding and repair skills.
• Min education level NVQ 3 in mechanical / electrical engineering or 18th edition electrical installations.
• The ideal candidate would live within 25miles of site and have access to a car.

The Position:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the effective planned and reactive maintenance activities in a busy and demanding renewables plant. All PPE/workwear and tools will be provided.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following;

• Electrical and mechanical fault find, service and repair of production line machinery
• 3 phase electrics, motors, inverters, switch gear, control panels, sensors, relays
• Maintenance and repair of machinery including conveyors, pumps, pneumatics and hydraulics
• Some facilities maintenance including lighting, heating, plumbing

Swancote Energy operates a state-of-the-art Anaerobic Digestion plant in the West Midlands which processes 75,000mt of a combination of all types of food wastes (in any form of packaging) and energy crops to produce green electricity.
