Full job description
We are looking to recruit a full time Facilities Technician to provide general facilities and maintenance cover. This role will be across both of our venues, however the majority of the role will be based at Mayflower Studios.
The successful candidate should be self-motivated, be able to work on their own initiative, to prioritise workloads and respond to emergencies when called upon. For this position previous relevant experience within a similar setting is desirable.
Main Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Maintaining, replacing and renewing the fixtures & fittings of the Theatre
· Completing general maintenance issues
· Repairing damaged facilities and equipment
· Painting and decorating
· Carrying out safety checks (fire extinguishers, emergency lighting)
Applicants must have:
· Basic experience with plumbing and/or electrical
· Basic experience with wood-work
· Previous experience within the facilities/maintenance sector
· A keen eye for detail with experience of maintaining a building
· Experience with health and safety and understand the importance of this
· Good communication skills and experience of working with external contractors and companies
· Good computer skills with experience of using IT programmes
A full driving licence would be an advantage.
Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
Hours will be flexible on a rota basis to suit business needs and include evenings and weekends.
