About you

Exciting opportunities are available for qualified Radiologists (Senior Medical Officers) who want to make a positive impact while working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and supportive team. We are looking for Radiologists who are passionate about delivering quality care to our patients. Roles in general radiology and a range of radiology subspecialties, including abdomen and pelvis, neurology, interventional, and diagnostic radiology, are available across the country.

Positions are available across New Zealand with immediate start dates, or you can speak with our recruitment team about your plans to move to New Zealand.

To work as a Radiologist (Senior Medical Officer) in New Zealand, you must become registered to practice with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Practitioners must meet competency standards and hold Annual Practising Certificates (APCs) to work safely and effectively. Salary and benefits

Senior Medical Officers receive 6 weeks of annual leave and 12 paid public holidays, giving you time to explore our beautiful country and raise a family in our diverse communities. Along with your base salary as a Senior Medical Officer, you will have an annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance of GB £7,000 (NZ $16,000) (pro-rated for part-time employees), reimbursement of your registration and practising certificate fees and your professional indemnity insurance is covered by Health New Zealand.

Senior Medical Officers receive a base salary relative to their level of experience.

  • Medical Officers annual salaries range GB £62K - GB £92K (NZ $142K - NZ $210K) plus allowances.
  • Medical Specialists annual salaries range GB £81K - GB £117K (NZ $185K - NZ $267K) plus allowances.

Additional allowances are paid on top of base salary and vary due to location and service.
